Everyone’s favorite sandwich shop has landed a spot at one of the busiest retail areas in the city. The answer to the question of Primantis coming to the Waterfront is… YES! Primanti’s has gained prime real estate taking an empty location in front of Macy’s.
The location is 4,500 square feet and is across from the Pittsburgh Improv. The restaurant plans to open next spring, just in time for the winter thaw and hungry Pittsburghers to leave their homes in search of food!
Other new restaurants Primanti’s is planning on bringing to the area include one in Allison Park and another on Penn Avenue in Garfield. That’s not even counting the expansion to nearby states, including West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland and even Indiana and Michigan. In August, the Baltimore Business Journal reported that Primanti’s was scouting locations in enemy territory—Raven’s country. It seems that Primantis will soon take over the world… or at least the country. More locations open up all the time, and this Pittsburgh taste is one that seems to stick.
Who doesn’t love a Primantis sandwich? One of the first things Pittsburghers are asked when out of town and in a social situation is “What’s with those sandwiches with french fries?”… Well, now that we have Primantis coming to the Waterfront… there’s a place to get them the answer!
Philly. I’m from Pittsburgh & would love a taste of home. You all would put the philly cheesesteak to shame.
