Friday Nov. 11th
Flag Folding Ceremony
Spend Veteran’s Day at the Sen. John Heinz Regional History Center for this solemn flag folding ceremony. Local vets and selected museum visitors will unveil a 36-foot American flag and hold a moment of silence for the men and women who gave their service to our country. 12-1:30 p.m., For more information on Heinz History Center events, click here.
Costumes of “The Wiz Live!”
In honor of NBC airing its next live show “Hairspray!” next month, we found an exhibit at the August Wilson Center on Liberty Ave. that is showcasing the costumes of the December 2015 NBC live show “The Wiz Live.” Through Nov. 30th, beginning 11 a.m. daily, you can see the costumes worn by Queen Latifah, Ne-Yo, Mary J. The Chocolate Bar at the Benedum
If you constantly dream of chocolate, you’ll want to visit this night celebrating all things sweet. Pittsburgh’s hottest restaurants, bakeries and dessert bars like A519 Chocolate, Braddock’s Pittsburgh’s Brasserie and Grandview Bakery will unveil their greatest chocolate-infused creations. Red Hot Chilli Peppers in Concert
No… not the Red Hot Chillis Peppers that probably came to your mind first… unless you love bagpipe music! Warm up with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers performing at the Byham Theater Saturday evening. The past 10 years have given the Chilli Peppers the chance to rise to fame, becoming the most famous bagpipe band in the world. 19th Annual German Christmas Market/Weihnachtsmarkt
A marketplace full of regional artisans and other vendors present a marketplace modeled after the traditional German Christmas markets of the past.
