Friday June 9th
Jack Buncher Foundation Free Admission Days at the Heinz History
The Heinz History Center will have free admission through Sunday as part of the annual tradition sponsored by the Jack Buncher Foundation. The weekend will give visitors the chance to experience dozens of paintings by local artists in the exhibit “The Gift of Art: 100 Years of Art from the Pittsburgh Public Schools’ Collection.” For more information on the free weekend click HERE.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are on their 40th Anniversary Tour with a stop at PPG Paints Arena. Joe Walsh is set to be special guest. 8 p.m., prices vary, for more information on the tour click HERE.
Saturday June 10th
This two-day event will include over 150 vendors, family friendly carnival and fair games, a DJ and dance area and more. Begins at 12 noon, FREE, for more information on the festival click HERE.
Energy for Life Walk
The Pittsburgh Energy for Life Walkathon works to raise funds and awareness for mitochondrial diseases. Every 30 minutes a child is born with such a disease. This event hopes to reach out to the community to get them to help support those fighting this debilitating disease. Free, for more information on the walk click HERE.
Sunday June 11th
Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto
The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will perform the work that first premiered in Russia in St. Petersburg back in November of 1875. It is one of the most iconic openings of any classical work. $20-$94, for more information on the performance click HERE.
