Storytime: Family Fun
Head to Carnegie Library downtown for some fun with the whole family. Reading, songs and of course lots of imagination will make this morning one not to be missed. This event repeats the first Friday of every month. Free, for more information click HERE.
EQT Pittsburgh 3 Rivers Regatta
The annual regatta begins today! Come out to enjoy fireworks, live entertainment and fun on Pittsburgh’s three rivers. The event ends Sunday. This is a Pittsburgh tradition that’s been going on for years. This year the regatta will turn 40! Free admission, for more information click HERE.
Saturday Aug. 5th
Purple Heart Day 5K & 10K
George Washington created the Purple Heart on August 7th and the day is now known as Purple Heart Day. Heinz Field is celebrating Purple Heart Day by sponsoring a VIRTUAL 5K and 10K race. Participants get a purple heart medal that says “All Gave Some, Some Gave All.” Only 500 medals are available. 7 a.m., $17, for more information click HERE.
Future Tenant’s Summer Disco Ball
Future Tenant’s Summer Disco Ball will party like it’s 1979. Enjoy music, food and the chance to create your own disco ball in the space. There will also be a ’70s disco costume contest with prizes for winners. The party will take place amidst the disco exhibition at the venue. $15-$25, for more information on the event click here.
Sunday Aug. 6th
Catch the jukebox musical on its last night in Pittsburgh. One the night before her wedding, a daughter’s adventure to discover her father’s identity brings in 3 different men.
