We’re well into November now, Pittsburgh! We’ve got lots of fun things going on, including a tribute to Leonard Bernstein and AC/DC, a hike sponsored by L.L. Bean and more. Friday Nov. 10th
Bernstein Centennial Celebration
Celebrate the 100th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein’s birth. Enjoy some of his iconic songs from West Side Story and On the Town. Two Broadway vocalists will be on hand to sing them all at Heinz Hall. For more information on the event click HERE.
AC/DC Tribute: Live Wire
The Lamp Theatre in Irwin offers a show called “Live Wire,” which is said to offer the most complete and authentic reproduction of AC/DC’s sound. The show was established in 2000 and hails from the New York City area. The band has performed for audiences around the world. For more information on the concert click HERE.
Saturday Nov. 11th
High-Energy Hike Series by L.L. Bean
This is the first hike of the year’s high-energy hike series. Plan to hike eight to nine miles and meet at the L.L. Bean trailer at North Park. For more information on the hike click HERE.
Veterans Day Flag Ceremony
Partake in the solemn Veterans Day flag ceremony at the Heinz History Center. Acknowledge all who have served our country by watching the unveiling of a 36-foot American flag. The National Anthem will be sung and local veterans will be there. For more information on the ceremony click HERE.
Sunday Nov. 12th
Trash Test Dummies
Enjoy this talented set of circus performers that have acrobatics, juggling and lots of complicated stunt work. They have a playful and fun imagination and take the audience on their journey with them. For more information on the performance click HERE.
The Carrie Furnace Blast
