Deutschtown – The Music Continues

This weekend Deutschtown aka The North Side is home to one of the best parts of Pittsburgh, The Deutschtown Music Festival! 369 acts and 40 stages worth of great amazing music right here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Oh… and it’s all free!

The festival has grown in each of its five years. What started five years ago as a small local event by Cody Waters and Ben Soltez has grown to include band submissions from 26 states and seven countries.  This year promises two full days of constant music.

I can’t even mention all of the bands I’m excited to see but do want to mention presenters.  Tim Gaber of the Pittsburgh Winery has been unable to host music there while they remodel and will be presenting music at The James Street Tavern.  The former three floored music mainstay will re-open its doors for the weekend!

Here is a link to the full lineup.

Please feel free to send your pictures to us for posting on Pittsburgh Beautiful!  Nothing is more beautiful than our city hosting live music. Friday the 13the may be unlucky for campers at Crystal Lake, but it is surely a lucky day for us here in Pittsburgh.  Oh and Saturday the 14th will be luckier yet (much luckier than it was for Richard Benjamin in 1981)!
