We all know Pittsburgh is a great town for a quality cocktail. We decided to put together a list of five great places for happy hours in Pittsburgh. Don’t worry though, this is only the beginning of this list! If you have a favorite happy hour, let us know in the comments.
1. Walnut Grill
Walnut Grill has multiple locations, in Bridgeville, Fox Chapel, Robinson and Wexford. The drink and food specials are daily and some are incredible. For example, Mondays are $3 draft beers and $5 mojitos, Wednesdays are half priced wines and Thursdays are half priced martinis. Count us in!
2. Mad Mex
Mad Mex is known for its “Big Azz” margaritas and you can get them nightly (times vary by location) for just $7. Their happy “hora” is 4:30-6:30 and includes half off all drafts, house margarita specials and half off wings. Don’t miss their creative menu ideas like the holiday time Gobblerito, made with all your Thanksgiving fixings. There are locations in Oakland, Monroeville, the North Hills and Robinson Township.
3. Wigle Tasting Room at the Omni William Penn
Wigle Whiskey has opened a tap room at one of the swankiest hotels in the ‘burgh. Don’t let that fool you though, as they have a regular happy hour from 5-7 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Expect half off certain cocktails and flights. They are also home to the “build your own Old-Fashioned” cocktail, so come at happy hour to get 50 percent off whatever Old Fashioned concoction you choose!
4. Hidden Harbor
Did you know there is a tiki bar in Pittsburgh? Hidden Harbor is an establishment that dubs itself a “modern tiki spot.” Tuesday through Friday is “Half-Off Happy Hour” with 10 tropical classics for around $6. If you’re missing the warmer weather, this is the place to go for refreshing mojitos, daiquiris, dark and stormy’s and more.
5. Olive or Twist
This martini bar and restaurant offers a happy hour 4-6 p.m. Mondays and 4-7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Enjoy $1 off all draft beer and $2 off special martinis. Chardonnay or Cabernet is $5 per glass and there’s even some food specials too—half price buffalo chicken spread with pita and half off nachos too.
