7 Pittsburgh Light Displays to Visit this Season

The holidays are full of lots of festive sparkling light displays and Pittsburgh of course doesn’t disappoint. We put together a list of seven great Pittsburgh light displays to check out in the area this magical season.

1. Oglebay

The Oglebay Festival of Lights has delighted Pittsburghers since 1985. The attraction brings out over a million visitors each year and is a six-mile drive throughout Oglebay Park. With 89 lighted attractions throughout, there is something for everyone!

2. Overly’s Country Christmas

You’ll see lots of lights and feel lit up from within at the gorgeous traditional Christmas village that is Overly’s country Christmas. There will be a bonfire, pictures with Santa, sleigh rides and more at this absolutely magical holiday celebration.

3. Kennywood Holiday Lights

We had to include Kennywood’s Holiday Lights display on this list! You won’t want to miss your favorite amusement park all lit up with gorgeous twinkling lights. You can visit Santa, ride the Gingerbread Express and even ride a few open rides!

4. Phipps’ Outdoor Light Garden

You won’t want to miss Phipps’ Outdoor Light Garden that is part of their holiday light show. Enjoy lots of color and lights everywhere as you stroll through the garden. Stop for a hot chocolate before you begin your journey. This one is a great idea for the whole family.

5. Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland

The Big Butler Fairgrounds are transformed into a gorgeous winter wonderland with Shadrack’s. In addition to lots of gorgeous lights, you won’t want to miss a letter writing station to Santa, carnival style rides for kids and plenty of hot coffee for mom and dad.

6. Christmas Light Up Celebration

This one-mile drive through experience is just long enough for the little ones. There’s also a walk-through experience option too. Clinton, PA is where this spectacular light display is. There’s also hayrides and horses too!

7. Santa’s Christmasland

Visiting Kraynak’s was a Christmas tradition for my family growing up. I look back on those years fondly and adored seeing the intricate holiday displays with twinkling trees and Santas and more. Kraynak’s, which has been around since 1949.
