It’s that time of year again… the almighty Pittsburgh Fish Fry!  As a matter of fact, Pittsburgh Fish Fries are on our list of some of the Pittsburgh foods you crave.  Prepare for Lent with some highlights from Pittsburgh fish fries in and around the city. Pittsburgh Fish FriesAliquippa Croatian Center

Baked fish dinners are $12 and include butter baked cod, seasoned bread crumbs two sides. Battered fish dinner is the same price and fish and chips are just $10.



Assumption

The Bellevue church offers takeout and they hand bread their fish and make their cole slaw from scratch. There are also low carb options too.



Christ United Methodist Church

Enjoy fish sandwiches or baked fish or fried shrimp too. There will also be a la carte items like mac and cheese and haluski.



St. Anne’s

If a fried seafood platter sounds like your cup of tea, you’ll want to head to St. Anne’s in Castle Shannon. Also, alcohol is served too as an added bonus!



First A.M.E. Church

First A.M.E. in Clairton’s fish fries are dubbed the best dinners in town by the church. Go see for yourself at their $8 fish dinners.

Good Samaritan Church

Good Samaritan Church offers a fish fry every Friday throughout Lent, except Good Friday. They offer a special “Francine” combo dinner and also delivery in the Ambridge area for a $20 minimum.



Holy Angels

Holy Angels in Pittsburgh is offering fish dinners, cheese pizzas, soups and more in an extensive menu.



Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox is holding their fish fries on Ash Wednesday and every Friday during Lent. This includes a fish dinner, friend shrimp dinner and lots of sides options.



Immaculate Conception Catholic Church

Immaculate Conception is holding a fish fry on Ash Wednesday and Fridays during Lent. In addition to the usual baked and fried fish dinners and sandwiches, the church will even offer fish tacos. Count us in!



Our Lady of Lourdes Burgettstown

This Burgettstown Fish Fry is serving up fish sandwiches and baked fish dinners. There’s also crab cakes, fried shrimp, grilled cheese kids meals and more. If pierogies are your thing, they offer them by the dozen too.



Our Lady of the Valley

This Donora Parish is serving up baked or fried monster fish, breaded jumbo shrimp, pierogies, cole slaw and more.



Risen Lord Parish

Risen Lord Parish is holding a traditional fish fry with all the fixins, including haluski, mac and cheese, cole slaw, tomato soup and more.



St. John the Baptist

St. John’s in Plum Borough has quite the extensive menu! Not only are there all the traditional dishes and sides, large groups are accommodated with a family special that includes four sandwiches, four cole slaws and four sides. There are also specials with each week of Lent, including lasagna, homemade pierogies, crab cakes and more.

St. James has its annual fish fry this Ash Wednesday and subsequent Fridays during Lent. Come out for food, fellowship and one of the most delicious-looking bake sales you’ll ever see!



Your local American Legion

Most local American Legions have fish fries during Lent. All serve fish sandwiches or fish dinners and sides like mac and cheese, haluski and more.



Your local VFD

Multiple local volunteer fire departments in the area hold fish fries, particularly during the Lenten season. Consult your neighborhood VFD for more information.

    St Joan of Arc has the best fish fry ever! In addition to the fish dinners, they serve crab cakes and salmon. They serve the best clam chowder I’ve ever had! They have lunch specials too. In addition, the women who volunteer their time are the sweetest and courteous ladies.
