1. Allegheny City Brewing
This North Side establishment loves its furry friends! The owners are such dog lovers that they have a wall dedicated to animals who have visited the the brewery. While they don’t have a traditional kitchen, they do offer light snacks to go with whatever brew you’re most interested in trying.
2. The Brew Gentlemen
This Braddock brewery started by two individuals back when they were in college is dog-friendly. Enjoy soft, balanced and elegant beers in a sleek and modern setting. Rumor has it dogs end up finding lots of playmates when they visit.
3. Ace Hotel Lobby Bar
The hotel is pet-friendly, so if you’re in the mood for a staycation, book a night here and head on down to the hotel bar. Chances are, Fido and friends will have an elegant night.
4. Double Wide Grill
The South Side barbecue joint with 40 draft beers and a full bar allows dogs in a separate area of the restaurant. They also serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays until 2 p.m. There’s also a happy hour Monday through Friday from 5-7 p.m.
5. Coca Café
The cozy Coca Café on Butler St. in Lawrenceville is dog friendly. Enjoy delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner with your best friend by your side. Their avocado toast and omelets are particularly delicious.
6. Jerome Bettis Grille 36
The restaurant named after the Steeler great serves up mouthwatering burgers, sandwiches and steaks. The patio is dog-friendly and the staff goes above and beyond for dogs. They’re brought water bowls to assure they stay hydrated. Don’t forget to slip your pet a bite or two of your burger!
7. The Tipsy Cow
Dogs are welcome on the patio of this Shadyside burger bar. Enjoy wings and make-your-own burgers, milkshakes and craft beers. Sparky and you can sit together at one of seven outdoor tables. Dogs are served water at the Tipsy Cow.
