1. The Mon (noun)

The Monongahela River.

2. Mahles (noun)

Miles, as in “We’ve got just five more mahles to Heinz Field!”

3. ‘Member? (phrase)

Remember? As in “‘Member when we were in college?”

4. Mize well! (phrase)

Might as well. Used in a sentence could be, “There’s a Starbucks drive thru—I could use a latte. Mize well!”

5. Mup ‘er! (phrase) 

Another phrase meaning “I’m up here!”

6. N’at (phrase)

Classic Pittsburghese meaning “and that or et cetera.”

7. Nakin (noun) 

A napkin. Used in a sentence could be “This pizza is greasy, I could use a nakin!”

8. Nebby (adj.)

Also classic Pittsburghese, meaning gossipy or nosy.

9. Nunya (phrase)

None of your, as in “None of your business.”

10. Nextore (place)

Next door, as in “Dorothy nextore is so nebby!”
