With Valentine’s Day coming up, we’re in a romantic mood. We thought we’d put together a list of five great places to propose on Valentine’s Day in Pittsburgh. With great views, private nature-oriented surroundings or florals everywhere, there’s a place for all couples to propose in the city. An early congratulations from Pittsburgh Beautiful!
1. Mount Washington
This one’s a no-brainer. The view atop Mount Washington is perfect for an only-in-Pittsburgh proposal. Grab a friend to stealthily take photos of your engagement. As you take the incline back down, you’ll have plenty of time to relish in the moment too.
2. Point State Park
There’s just something so romantic about proposing in front of the majestic point fountain in the warmer months, or the tree in the colder ones. You’ll see Heinz Field in the background, and the downtown Pittsburgh skyline as well. Chances are, you’ll have some onlookers cheering for you as he or she says yes.
3. Clemente Bridge
Pittsburgh is a city of bridges, so what better way to celebrate your love story than proposing on one of its prettiest? The Clemente Bridge provides lots of gorgeous views perfect for photos and is often the place for couples to choose for engagements.
4. Schenley Park
Schenley Park is a bit more unexpected in terms of proposal places in the ‘burgh. There are over 400 acres to choose the perfect spot. Pack a picnic and hide the ring in the snacks. Pull it out and surprise your loved one for the perfect outdoor proposal.
5. Phipps Conservatory
There’s nothing more romantic than proposing amidst the gorgeous florals and plants in Phipps. Plan the perfect point to pop the question as you walk through the fragrant pathways. Get down on one knee and be ready for some amazing photos to match.
