Whether you need your morning bagel fix, holiday decorations or a brand-new pair of shoes, you can find everything you need in Moon Township!

Your holiday decorations at At Home

At Home, dubbed the “home decor superstore,” is the perfect place to buy holiday decorations. My dad grabbed a dozen wreaths and a Christmas tree floor model a few years ago in an after Christmas sale for a fraction of the price. The decorations are holding up wonderfully too! At Home features outdoor decor, ornaments and even DIY Christmas wreath decorating.

Your morning bagels at Bruegger’s

Bruegger’s Bagels at Thorn Run Crossing is the perfect place to grab your morning bagel and coffee. Their fall special is French Toast and paired with some plain light cream cheese, it’s simply divine. For the more health conscious, the skinny zesty egg white is delicious, made with turkey sausage, swiss cheese and sundried tomato spread.

Grab some boots at Frank’s Shoes

Frank’s on Park Manor Blvd. sells quality shoes and boots. They have quality work boots for decent prices. Brand they carry include Clarks, Timbaland and Sebago. For those who love a little bit of Western flair, Frank’s sells authentic cowboy boots made with genuine leather.

Have a date at Armstrong’s

Head to Armstrong’s for some of the best Italian food in the city at this hidden gem. Fried zucchini is a must for appetizers and their classic salad with pepperoni and artichoke is amazing. Buffalo chicken is a great entree for those who enjoy something a little more spicy. Armstrong’s is intimate and cozy and perfect for a weekend date night.

Head to One of the Last Remaining Drive-In Movies

Love the movie Grease? You’ll want to head to Dependable Drive In, one of the last remaining Drive-In movies in the United States (it’s been around since 1950 and now in its 65th season!). Dependable Drive In is open during the colder months, making it a great place to curl up and have an intimate night with your significant other. In the summer, make a night of it with your crew. A double feature costs only $8 for adults and children ages 5-11 are only $3. It sure beats the $15+ cost of regular movie theaters these days!

Moon Township is a great place to hang for a day with your bestie, significant other or family.  Of course, there are all kinds of things to do all around Pittsburgh!
