1.Bucatini Neri From Piccolo Forno
Savory squid ink spaghetti, melt-in-your-mouth salmon cream sauce, fresh salmon and anchovy-garlic breadcrumbs make for a deliciously savory meal. Pair with a chilled glass of white wine for the perfect date night meal (just don’t kiss afterward with the anchovies!).
2. Senti’s Spaghetti al Pomodoro
A housemade spaghetti pasta is served with an incredible tomato sauce. Head to this joint on Butler Street in Lawrenceville for the perfect comfort food during this frigid winter we’ve been having.
3. Big Jim’s Spaghetti & Meat Sauce
Once featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Big Jim’s on the edge of Greenfield is the perfect Pittsburgh dive. It also happens to serve incredible pasta dinners. Their spaghetti and meat sauce dinner comes with the option for meatless sauce. The dinner is served with salad, coleslaw and garlic toast. There’s also an option to add two meatballs, one piece of hot sausage, mushrooms or a slice of melted provolone for $2.99 each.
4. Di Anoia’s Angel Hair Al Limone
If you’re not a fan of red sauce, this Strip District eatery has a great dish. The spaghetti al limone comes with rock shrimp, a lemon sauce and paddlefish caviar. Take home some fresh baked goods from their pasticceria and you will have the perfect day of incredible food.
5. Sorrento’s Spaghetti with Meatballs
Sorrento’s spaghetti with meatballs is a simple yet amazing dish. They even offer delivery, so if you’re craving the Italian dish it’s just a quick click away online from this Oakland eatery.

DeNunzio’s in Jeannette, Monroeville and Latrobe.
If you haven’t had the Spaghetti and meatballs with grandma’s sauce at Piazza Talarico, you haven’t had the best in Pittsburgh.. This place is awesome!! Authentic southern Italian food and homemade wines. I have been in Pittsburgh for 20 years, have eaten at the majority of Pittsburgh Italian Restaurants, and none come close. The fried zucchini is also the best I have ever tasted. They are relatively new; only about 1 1/2 years old, but you really have to eat there before judging the best spaghetti in Pittsburgh.
