Pittsburgh is such a picturesque city that it was hard to just choose seven places to highlight. Here are some of the most breathtaking spots in Pittsburgh.
1. The West End Overlook
The West End Overlook in Elliott showcases the city in all its glory, particularly at night. This is a great place to take out-of-towners and to take photos of important life events.
2. PNC Park
There’s nothing better than the view from PNC Park, no matter how good or bad the Pirates are doing. The city from inside PNC Park is an absolutely incredible view.
3. Union Station Rotunda
The historic train station in Pittsburgh first opened in 1901. Now, it is a gorgeous place for romantic photos.
4. The First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh
Dating all the way back to 1787, this church is amazing particularly at Christmastime. There are also tours that are offered Sundays after services.
5. The PNC Carousel
Adding just a little bit of quirkiness to Oakland is the PNC Carousel. Enjoy rides from April through October each and every year.
6. The Cathedral of Learning
Pittsburgh’s own Hogwarts is a truly breathtaking place both inside and out. The 36th floor is also amazing for views high atop the city.
7. PPG Place
PPG Place is breathtaking in all seasons, whether you’re lunching outside in the summer or ice skating around its gigantic Christmas tree in the winter.
Proud to have the West End Overlook as #1 on your list. However it is not part of the Mt. Washington. It is in the Elliott neighborhood.
