Fall is finally here, and we’ve put this list of 9 things to look forward to this fall in Pittsburgh!
1. Cooler weather
As hard as it is to say goodbye to summer, cooler weather is always welcome in Pittsburgh. Fall is gorgeous temperature-wise in Pittsburgh before the dreaded winter hits.
2. Haunted houses
October in Pittsburgh means haunted houses—Hundred Acres Manor, Phantom Fright Nights Hollywood, Castle Blood and many more.
3. Autumnfest at Seven Springs
Enjoy an amazing autumn weekend in the mountains with live music, campy performers and more.
4. Pumpkin picking at Soergels
Soergel Orchards is a great place to head to if you’re interested in pumpkin picking and all things fall. New this year are Friday night hayrides from 4-7 p.m. to the pumpkin patches throughout October.
5. Grabbing a pumpkin spice latte at Zeke’s
Sure, the original Starbucks PSL is great, but local coffee place Zeke’s debuts a fall menu in mid-September. On it is a delicious pumpkin spice latte.
6. DogtoberFEST 2018
This annual adoption event is an outdoor festival and showcase for the many healthy and adoptable animals in the Pittsburgh area. Consider bringing a new member into your home today.
7. Steelers and Pens 2018-2019 seasons
The Steelers begin their road to the Super Bowl and the Penguins start their 2018-2019 season. City of Champions baby!
8. Maroon 5’s Sept. 29th Concert
If you’re a fan of “Wait” and “Girls Like You” you’ll want to snag a ticket to Maroon 5’s concert here in the ‘burgh in Sept. 29th.
9. Hiking through the area’s state parks
The fall foliage is incredible in the state park area’s around the city in autumn. Raccoon Creek State Park, Moraine State Park and McConnells Mill are just some of the great places to get a walk, hike, run or bike in.
