Fox Chapel is a great place to find good food. There’s a couple great Italian restaurants as well as the city’s very first Thai restaurant (that has since become a chain). Here are just five of the many spectacular restaurants in Fox Chapel.
A warm and cozy place for quality Italian food, Nancetta’s is a go-to for staples like housemade ravioli and homemade pastas. Every dish is fresh and light and goes beautifully with a glass of wine. For more information on Nancetta’s click here.
2. Alta Via
The modern Italian food served at Alta Via is delicious, with flavors built around their wood-fired hearth. Recipes are mostly vegetable-forward, like a spinach tortellini or roasted cauliflower and Brussels sprouts. End your meal with a chocolate or vanilla gelato topped with hazelnuts, pistachios, shaved chocolate or sprinkles. For more information on Alta Via click here.
3. Walnut Grill
Traditional American food is abundant at Walnut Grill. Think stacked pancakes, boneless wings, chicken dishes and crab cakes. There’s also a late-night menu until 11 p.m. weeknights and midnight weekends. For more information on Walnut Grill click here.
This local chain serves sandwiches and New American dishes. There’s also plenty of wine and cocktails in a hip atmosphere. Their brunch is delicious too—items like chicken and waffles with candied jalapeño and an avocado toast BLT doesn’t disappoint. For more information on Andora click here.
5. Thai Place
Thai Place was Pittsurgh’s first Thai restaurant. Now with two locations, one in Fox Chapel and another in Wexford, the restaurant has established itself as the city’s premiere place for Thai food. Options include lots of Thai fried rice options and lunch specials like Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. For more information on Thai Place click here.
Good article. However, not one of these restaurants in actually located in Fox Chapel.
