Summer is prime festival time and Pittsburgh certainly doesn’t disappoint. We put together a list of five great summer festivals perfect for a gorgeous summer day or night in the ‘burgh!

1. Big Butler Fair

The Big Butler Fair begins June 30th and runs through July 8th. Camping is available as well as artist meet and greets, animals, fair rides and plenty of fried food! The Big Butler Fair is the largest fair in Western PA and is always held around the 4th of July. For more information on the fair click HERE.

2. Pittsburgh Cinema in the Park

Parks all around the city, including Arsenal Park in Lawrenceville, Brookline Memorial Park, Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park, Grandview Park in Mt. Washington, Highland Park and more will show outdoor movies through August 31st. Schenley Plaza in Oakland was just added this year with Sunday night movies. 3. Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix

This unique festival at Schenley Park takes place from July 7th through the 16th. Enjoy races, a black tie gala, car shows and more. There’s even a parade downtown of vintage and race cars July 12th. The grand prix is now in its 35th year. More information on the grand prix can be found HERE.

4. Summer Fridays at the Frick

Kick back and relax Friday evenings after work beginning at 6:30 p.m. for “Summer Fridays at the Frick.” Free performances, family-friendly activities and a weekly food truck will be there every Friday. 5. One WHIRL Yoga Fest

You’ll love this day-long festival at Point State Park celebrating all things yoga. The sixth annual WHIRL Yoga Fest goes from sunrise to sunset with classes by local instructors, vendor demonstrations and more. Yogis of all ages are welcome to attend.
