West View is home to a slew of deliciously eclectic, unique and fun restaurants. Whether you’re in the mood for classic Italian, Burmese cuisine or classic diner food, you’ll want to visit these West View Restaurants!
Bella Ria’s
5336 Perry Highway
Bella Ria’s serves homestyle Italian food. Their homemade pizza dough is to die for at this BYOB restaurant. Bella Ria’s is informal and relaxed, but the food is of the highest quality. Chicken romano and chicken marsala are great dishes, as well as a juicy prime rib.
Royal Myanmar Restaurant
644 Center Ave.
This quiet, unassuming Asian restaurant and sushi bar specializes in Burmese food. Popular dishes include the coconut chicken curry, lemongrass beef and Singamore noodles with shrimp. Diehard fans love this hole-in-the-wall with incredibly good sushi. Many have raved about the Thai iced tea. Royal Myanmar was deemed so hip by one customer on Yelp they recommended it move to Lawrenceville. It looks to be staying in West View, so Pittsburghers—make that trip!
Center Avenue Slice
332 Center Ave.
Center Avenue Slice is a longstanding pizza joint in West View, serving pizza by the slice, pie and many appetizer options. Their calzones are must tries according to locals. Their gourmet ones come with a choice of steak, turkey, meatball, veggie and Italian meats. During Lent, Catholics can grab a tasty savory fish sandwich.
DiPietro’s
412 Perry Highway
From their website: “We specialize in traditional Italian cuisine that will have your palate intrigued, the minute you step between our doors. From Antipasti to Insalate, Luppe to Farinacei, we offer delectable delights guaranteed to satisfy the most discriminating of tastes with pasta dishes, pizzas and sandwiches that will remind you why you fell in love with Italian food in the first place.”
Isaly’s
448 Perry Highway
Chipped ham sandwiches and must-have milkshakes are what to get at this local diner/deli. Their hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily so grab those sandwiches before they close! In addition to deli sandwiches, Isaly’s sells pancakes, eggs, sausage and more. Be prepared for total and complete nostalgia when you walk in the door—the photos from the old West View Park amusement park on the walls seem to be speaking out with history.
What about Di Pietro’s
Rt 19 at the old west view park red light….
That picture of Isaly’s is from the past. Under new ownership, it is now an abbreviation spelled as I.S.A.L.Y.’s meaning “I Shall Always Love You” as I have been told. But, inside it still contains all the nostalgia of the old store.
Best Chinese food is at Chan’s in west view plaza! Fantastic food , great service and very reasonable prices!
