The K&L Gates signage replaced the previous Ariba signage at the top of the building, solidifying the law firm’s presence in the city. The lobby, which had been temporarily closed during the renovation, was reopened in February 2010, boasting a modern and inviting atmosphere.

Artistic Preservation

During the renovation, great care was taken to preserve the building’s artistic heritage. A large enamel-on-steel mural by artist Virgil Cantini, formerly displayed in the building’s lobby, was carefully removed and donated to the University of Pittsburgh. This act ensured the preservation of the artwork’s cultural and historical significance, allowing future generations to appreciate its beauty.
